Fitness 411

Sometimes it's best to keep things simple, at least when it comes to fitness.

The goal of being fit is being healthy. If you are naturally skinny and that is your natural body form great, don't attempt to fatten up (unless you need to for health purposes). Enjoy your body as it is. Equally if you have a larger frame, do not try and starve yourself to attain a look that will frankly not suit you.

Get your Zumba on!

zumbafitness
Zumba, the Latin inspired dance fitness program is more than a work out. It's a way of life. Exercise on it's own does not always sound very attractive, especially when the Winter months roll in and the cold makes it harder to motivate oneself to get out and indeed work out. Like with all things in life, however, you have to look for the positive in order to enjoy your life to the fullest. Zumba offers a great workout and a whole lot of fun. You just can't go wrong with Zumba.

How do you see yourself when you look in the mirror? No matter how few calories you eat or how much you exercise in a day, do you tell yourself you need to lose weight? Do you feel guilty about what you just ate and immediately go to the bathroom to purge? Do you find comfort in overeating? If you've answered yes to any of these, you, my friend, may have an eating disorder. Eating disorders are very serious conditions in which you are so preoccupied with food and weight, you often focus on nothing else.

Of the three main types of eating disorders; Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa and Binge Eating, binge eating is considered the most common. Eating disorders cause serious physical problems and are life-threatening if left untreated.
