Julia Bluhm might seem like the average 8th grader in the eyes of the public, but once you get a chance to listen to what she has to say you realize her voice represents women of all ages and walks of life.

One of the best things about being a teenager, in my opinion, is the all of the freedom that you will gain during the years. One of the many things that come with being a teenager and growing up is learning how to drive and then getting your driver's license!

As the Martin Luther King concisely stated in his I Have a Dream speech "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

The killing of Trayvon Martin is a threat to justice and as you may already know, groups of people nationwide have been gathering to bring Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin's killer, to justice.

Her insides are going crazy. She feels worthless and is numb from pain. She sees no other solution except to take it out on herself. She does what she has to and brings a temporary relief to her pain. She curls up into her bed and begins to sob quietly.

Criminality is the motivation and or the probability of crime. African American males are primarily the source of the public's moral panic. Society places great stereotypes on African American males when it comes to criminality. W. E. DuBois stated that crime is a result of emancipation from slavery, which causes confusion and disorder amongst African American males.

(School Without Walls, DC) "If you really want to take action, you guys should organize a rally!" says my teacher, Dr. Demczuk, after having a discussion about the Trayvon Martin. Another classmate and I looked puzzled. He encouraged us to raise our voices as the new generation of youth.

We live in a world where it is often forgotten that women do exist. James Brown said it best, "This is a man's world." Wrong! Us, women are here, strong, empowering and nevertheless ever so fierce! There are tons of empowering women all over the world who are making history as we speak. We often do not get the credit that we deserve, but that stops today!

Bullying is a reality and the only way as a society we will be able to change it is if we begin to see it as more than just something that happens to someone else. According to The Bullying Project website 13 million people will be bullied this year just in the United States and 3 million kids are absent monthly because school isn't the safe haven it's supposed to be.
